The Ponsonby is a compact vegan leather crossbody bag printed with designs by Ōtautahi artist River Jayden, with a zipped closure and a detachable coin purse.
Three designs are available. Ahi Kā uses deep reds and tāniko patterns to represent warmth, strength, belonging and the enduring connection to whenua, whānau and whakapapa. Tipu speaks to growth and renewal, reflecting how harakeke flourishes while sustaining generations of Māori weavers. Hine-Uri uses deep tones to evoke mystery and resilience, with tāniko patterns weaving pūrākau and connecting past tales to future generations.

River Jayden (Ngāti Tahu - Ngāti Whaoa, Ngāti Maniapoto, Ngāti Apakura) is an Ōtautahi artist whose vibrant work honours Māori identity, blending pūrākau (creation stories) with contemporary design. Her murals and public artworks have gained strong national and international recognition.
