Katy Hayward Ceramic Coaster – Kihikihi Cicada
The small, good-looking thing that stops a wet ring on your good table.
A 10.8cm square bone china coaster with a cork base, featuring Katy Hayward's original artwork of a kihikihi (cicada) resting among the koru of a punga fern.
A kihikihi (cicada) resting among the curling koru of a native punga fern, inspired by the New Zealand bush. The unfurling fern frond symbolises new life and growth, while the cicada recalls warm summers and the sound of Aotearoa.
New bone china with a cork base. Tiny surface bumps or pinprick marks are a natural result of the heat-press and glazing process, giving each tile its own character. Clean with a soft dry cloth; designed for indoor use. Designed in Aotearoa New Zealand, made in China.
